By now, I’m pretty settled on the phone that I want to get for my upgrade, the Samsung INNOV8. But there are a few issues that are still causing me to waiver.

Nokia have released an new game on N-Gage, but have also made it available for all of us!

I’m a nice guy, so I have made Reset Generation available on FluidDynamic!

First the bad news… Play.com are reporting that the Nokia N96 won’t be released now until the 30th September!!! 3 kinda confirmed this when they announced that they would be releasing the phone in September as well

This is REALLY annoying, as I was hoping to have this phone by the end of August, but now Nokia are breaking hearts all over the world with that news…

Which leads nicely on to the good(ish) news; if you’ve run out of patience with Nokia and the N96, it looks like Samsung might have you covered.

They recently announced the i8510 or INNOV8, and from the specs, it looks like it’ll wipe the floor with the N96.

As the release of the Nokia N96 draws near, Nokia have launched a promotional campaign, ‘Face The Task‘, which also gives you a chance to win one of 96 5 limited edition N96 ‘multimedia computers’

The promo features six video clips of a hot ninja lady jumping onto rooftops and into the trees (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-style) using her Nokia N96 to find her way, record video clips and snap away using the 5 megapixel camera.

The whole idea is to advertise the benefits of the N96 and at the end gives you two ways to win your own handset; either you can donate a set amount of money at a set time to the WWF to save the Red Panda and get a N96, or you can also watch all the videos and choose to be entered into a draw to win your very own limited edition N96

The handset (which is actually a stock N96 ) comes in a decorated ash box with raw silk accessory bags, along with an additional 8GB microSD card taking the total capacity to 24GB of storage.

I’ve entered… have you?

P.P.S: Having read the terms and conditions, it looks like there are only FIVE N96 up for grabs… It seems that other 91 will go to donators (read: the VERY rich)… noble cause but poor form, Nokia!

 

You may remember about a month ago, I was trying to decide what new phone to get on upgrade this summer… well the poll went well (not!).

I disregarded the Windows Mobile-based phones (HTC Touch Pro, Samsung Omnia), as I have just been given an XDA Orbit 2 from work, and from using one they can be a pain!

So I did some research on my own and managed to narrow it down to two contenders; the Apple iPhone and the Nokia N96.

Coming soon will be a few changes to the FluidDynamic website. Firstly, I am planning a site refresh, but I am still looking for a potential theme for the site; hopefully I will find one that suits me and the site’s content. I’m also working on some graphics, a mobile version of the site and doing some tidying up.

Also, I plan to start working on themes for different phones, focusing primarily on Nokia S60 handsets, such as the N95 8GB and N82, and also possibly some themes for Windows Mobile.

I also have an phone upgrade due (yes!!!) and I am really torn over which phone to get, so I wanna get some advice from you all.
