Google's Nexus One Finally Gets Multitouch
Feb 5th
After experience the rumblings of discontent regarding the technical presence, but lack of software implementation of multitouch; Google have finally relented and enabled the much-wanted feature on their Nexus One handset.
At present, the feature enables pinch-to-zoom in the Maps, Gallery and Browser apps, has been nicely captured on video (thanks to MobileBurn!):
It is very odd that Google has finally enabled multitouch in software, but one has to ask why it was omitted in the first place. The common theory is that Google had a agreement in place with Apple (who own most of the patents relating the technology) not to More >
Motorola Milestone now "more" available in the UK
Feb 5th
OK, the title of the post is a bit misleading as the Milestone has been available from Expansys for a few months, but I have now noticed that a few online mobile phone vendors are beginning to carry the UK variant of the Motorola Droid (but with multitouch!).
Some of the best deals can be found on my favourite online phone store BuyMobilePhones.net, where you can pick it for FREE on a T-Mobile £30 18 month contract.
More >Nokia set Ovi Maps free!
Jan 22nd
Nokia have followed Google in continuing the revolution in satellite navigation by announcing the previously subscription-based Ovi Maps will be now completely free! No doubt this is causing the old lords TomTom and Garmin some sleepless nights; in fact, both lost around 10% of their stock value when Nokia made their announcement!
Ovi Maps has global coverage, with 74 countries covered by its navigation services. Maps for all regions will be available, for free, for loading over the air or pre-loading via a desktop computer. Traffic information and city guides, from Lonely Planet and Michelin, will also be available at no More >

After problems with the Aino and Satio, Sony Ericsson had been looking to get back in the game with the Kurara, a Symbian Touch device capable of 720p video recording.
Well today, my favourite tech blog Engadget managed to get a sniff of an impending press release. iPhone vs. Nexus One… FIGHT!
Jan 8th
I know that I have been concentrating on Google’s Nexus One, but I think it is game changer, even if others don’t! While looking for more information on the phone, I came across this video comparison by TechnoBuffalo between the Nexus One and the Apple iPhone 3GS.
The video shows that the Nexus One is nearly ready to take on the iPhone, but is still a lil’ rough around the edges (nowt that as few firmware updates won’t cure!)
Enjoy and thanks to TechnoBuffalo for the video!
Nexus One – It's Official
Jan 5th
Google has finally put everyone out of their misery by announcing the immediate availability of the HTC Nexus One.
There were a few curveballs that came out of today’s announcement; firstly in the US, the phone is being sold by both T-Mobile and Verizon, with the CDMA version for Big Red coming in a few months. In the UK, the phone will be sold by Vodafone. Other than the UK and US, the phone is also shipping to Hong Kong and Singapore.
As for the phone itself, the specs have been confirmed, with 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.7-inch AMOLED display, compass, GPS, accelerometer, light More >

FluidDynamic: Plans for 2010
Jan 3rd
Hope you have had a safe and happy Christmas, guys! As we are now in 2010, I just wanted to outline the plans for this site for the next 12 months in terms of new themes, phone news and reviews and other future plans.
Themes
This site used to be the place where I released my themes for Sony Ericsson handsets. As my phones have changed (I started this site with a SE W910, now I have both a Nokia N86 and Apple iPhone 3G!), I have tended to wanted to release themes for the handset I currently have.
